Firefox 3 Spektakuler, 8 Juta Download dalam 24 Jam

Mozilla Firefox , web browser yang populer digunakan oleh pengguna internet merilis versi 3 dari aplikasinya. Versi rilisan yang ditunggu-tunggu oleh para penggemarnya ini mencapai rekor tertinggi untuk download sebuah aplikasi.

Kampanye Firefox 3 yang “dilepas” ke publik tanggal 18 Juni 2008 kemarin sukses dilaksanakan oleh Mozilla. Lewat 8 juta download dalam kurun waktu 24 jam, pihak Mozilla berhasil melewati target awal mereka yaitu 5 juta download. Hal ini semakin memperkuat Mozilla untuk memperoleh penghargaan dari Guinness Book of World Record sebagai aplikasi yang paling banyak di download dalam 24 jam.

Menurut data terakhir, dari jumlah 8 juta pengguna yang mendownload Firefox versi 3 tersebut, 2 juta diantaranya merupakan pengguna yang berasal dari Amerika Serikat, diikuti oleh Jerman, Jepang, dan Spanyol.
